Leston Mulli, his younger brother and a fellow executive within the company, shared the heartbreaking news in an interview with Zodiak Online. “MBL Holdings is an abbreviation of Mulli Brothers Limited. We have lost the eldest brother. It’s a very sad development,” Leston said.

Describing the loss as devastating, Leston added that the mood within the entire MBL Holdings group—a conglomerate with 23 local and international subsidiaries—is somber as they come to terms with the passing of one of their founding visionaries.

Alex Mulli’s legacy is embedded in the growth and expansion of MBL Holdings, one of Malawi’s most influential conglomerates. His contributions to the company and the broader business landscape in the country will not be forgotten.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
